Judging starts at 10:00am.

Entries not to be removed from the Show field before 4:00pm.

Entry £3 per sheep, unless otherwise stated - enter by July 17th using the entry form

Prizes: 1st £12; 2nd £8; 3rd £3.

BUTCHERS’ LAMBS

Judge: TBC

Class 51:    Two best butchers’ lambs up to and including 40.8Kg (90lb) average weight.

Class 52:    Two best butchers’ lambs over 40.8Kg (90lb) average weight.

Lambs will be weighed on arrival and may be switched from one class to the other at the stewards’ discretion.

Champion: £10; Reserve Champion £5, given to the best pen of either class.

Special prize of £20 for best entry in Classes 61 to 75; Special prize of £5 for reserve best entry in Classes 61 to 75

JACOB SHEEP

MV non accredited; All sheep to be shown to Breed Society Rules

Judge:  Mrs B Thompson, Whitby

Class 61:    Ram Shearling and above

Class 62:    Ram Lamb

Class 63:    Ewe that has reared lambs in 2016

Class 64:    Shearling Ewe

Class 65:    Gimmer Lamb

Class 66:    Group of three: Group class consisting of 2 females shown in different classes as above and I male shown as above.

Champion: £10; Reserve Champion £5.

The Tim Slater Trophy and Jacob Sheep Society rosette for the best Jacob in the Show.

Maximum of two entries per Jacob Sheep Society Member (except Class 66)

Class 71:    Ram Shearling and above

Class 72:    Ram Lamb

Class 73:    Ewe that has reared lambs in 2016

Class 74:    Shearling Ewe

Class 75:    Gimmer Lamb

Champion: £10; Reserve Champion £5.

Rosette for the male champion in classes 71 - 72

Rosette for the female champion in classes 73 - 75

BREEDING SHEEP

Entry £4 per pen of 2.

Judge:  TBC

Class 81:    Gimmer Shearling, pen of 2.

Class 82:    Gimmer Lambs, pen of 2.

YOUNG HANDLER

Commencing at approximately 11am.

Entry Free - enter on the day.

Judge:  TBC

Class 91:    Young handler up to 10 years to show a sheep or lamb of any breed and answer questions about the exhibit.

Class 92:    Young handler 10 to 15 years to show a sheep or lamb of any breed and answer questions about the exhibit.
